The Little Things...

This is a journal about the little things regarding my stable that bug me and why I haven't been active and posting art for ages! If you care, please read on. =D

Ok, so my subscription RUNS OUT tomorrow! *cries* *BlackGlassButterfly was so kind to give it to me, and I almost forgot it's going away. Very, very sad, but I have Thanksgiving break to cheer me up! Does anyone know if I have to redo my entire page and New Horizon Stables journal because of vanishing thumbnails? I suppose the remodel will have to be tomorrow or whilst I'm at home.

About not being online or doing anything on dA... My parents brought World of Warcraft down when they visited for the horse show I competed in. I've always adored the game and have an 80, 69 and 62 within my grasp to level! *Hathien603 has also created a character! :XD: So, that might explain why we've been previously occupied with the world of Azeroth rather than dA. Have no fear! I will post something in the near future! I have the Karma/Dusty saga pic that just needs a background and will go up as soon as BGB posts her next step. Oh, gosh, I'm afraid I've forgotten how to draw or even shade! :ohnoes: Might have to test that out this afternoon...

Lastly, I reeeeeally need to specify breeding details with any NH horses. I do not want the foals to look too similar or even identical to a horse from my stable! I try to balance natural with unique, which is a job in itself to begin with, and having a foal resemble one of my horses too closely sort of takes away from that. Underneath or above (whichever) my horses, I'm going to have to write specific instructions of what the foal should NOT look like. Perhaps in the "passable traits" section. Anyways, just a mini rant.

Horses are my LIFE. If you don't like animals, we probably won't get along too well. I'm a 20-yr-old equine science major attending school in Kentucky, and I adore it. I'm from around Chicago, but I hate cities and plan to live in Kentucky with my own training/breeding/rehabilitation ranch asap after college. My hobbies include biking, walking dogs, horseback riding, the Equestrian Team (western pleasure), World of Warcraft, fishing, singing, and hanging with my friends and family. Oh, and lastly, my future husband shall be a cowboy. Low expectations, huh?

I'm sorry for taking so long on the registry - wintering everything over here takes forever and a day! (And it's not like anything is clean or organized... :faint:)

However, I'm getting everything together for it, and was wondering which horses you'd like to see with "us"? Mares, geldings, stallions, foals; Brumbies, Mustangs or Nokotas. Natural coats only, although I would allow someone like Deja Vu since 1.) He's sexy ;) and 2.) I think he's natural enough...

Also, a picture of Frostbite for the adoption "application" should be up soon...I hope I haven't missed a "due date" or any sort?

Oh, goody! I'd be fine with registering Dejavu, Sun Gazer and his daughter, Sierra Sun. :nod: They're all mustangs. I'm actually going to be posting a redesigned Dejavu pic this weekend, most likely, so he'll be at least a bit more natural! Before you register them, though, is there anything I need to do once in the group? I'm a bit confused.

Oooh! Yay! I can't wait to see the entry! I'm taking entries for Two-Time and Frostbite up until the last day in November, so you have over a month. ;)

Nope, no need to do anything. Hopefully I can get everything ironed out over the weekend...

Fabulous! I have to say, though, shading a white horse when one sucks at shading anyway is pretty hard. :heart:
