Personality: Born with a unique face marking, Dejavu was considered "special" to those who saw him right from the start. He is extremely even-tempered for such a young, wild spirit and proves the mustang's stereotypical level head in almost all situations. His undeniable ego sometimes gets in the way of training, and he often thinks of nothing but mares. Greedy to the core, Dejavu enjoys his fill before allowing any other horses to feed other than his very favorite mares. He has never gotten over his separation from his wild herd. Other than nipping at anything and everyone far too often, he enjoys rearing to show off for the ladies and challenge the men (even the homo-sapien ones).

Personality: True to his partially draft bloodline, Maelo is an extremely gentle, sensitive guy. His particular detection of specific moods is to be marveled, and it isn't uncommon to feel more comforted by this stallion's company than that of a close friend. This tri-color pinto asserts himself in a passive way, making himself quite popular among any creature searching for guidance. Though he is amazingly kind and respectful to both horse and human, he shows specific tenderness towards mares. His lack of aggression sometimes proves him unattractive to certain, domineering mares. Maelo is always careful around the young and would happily walk a toddler for hours. In rare cases, Maelo becomes excitable around large groups or even a single, favored equine.

Personality: Along with being quite intelligent, Mr. Darcy is a very composed horse and slow to overreact. When upset, he refuses to make a fool of himself by blowing up and resigns to vicious tail swishing along with chomping at the bit. He's naturally curious yet very wary of new things and people. In the show ring, he maintains a prideful demeanor and oftentimes becomes overconfident, rushing the jumps and moves he must perform. He's quite polite yet somewhat shy around mares. In his mind, any sort of aggression towards females is out of the question. This preferential treatment oftentimes makes him difficult to work with for male riders.

Personality: True to his father, Striker is a very spirited horse. Thankfully, he hasn't inherited the somewhat dangerous and unpredictable demeanor of his mother. Quite level-headed, this stallion doesn't panic without reasonable cause and is relatively slow to spook. He sports a mustang's intelligence and powerful hooves while maintaining the speed and height of an appendix quarter horse, making him an ideal barrel racer like his dam. He boasts a unique sense of humor regarding those close to him and shows it through various tactics which include bobbing his head incessantly and vocalizing his every objection and agreement. Though outwardly fierce when around mares and other horses, he becomes as gentle as a lamb with foals.

Personality: If it's possible to call a horse "short-fused," then Sun Gazer matches the word perfectly. A disturbing and tenuous past has made him eternally ornery, and a positive mood is scarcely seen about him. An unknown injury to his left eye before adoption has left it damaged beyond repair, making him half blind. His memory is impeccable, and he seems to hold grudges against anyone or thing who has committed a fault against him. His past as a wild mustang for over nine has made him a fierce and somewhat reckless fighter. His thorough training has left him a calmer horse, but his vicious bites are well-known around New Horizon. Sun Gazer's loneliness has forced him into an overprotective state regarding those he truly cares for, and he's capable of normality in the proper, loving hands.

Markings: Blanket on rump, unique star-stripe, always totes a red-tailed hawk feather in his thick mane
Passable Traits: Blanket/leopard appie pattern, thick mane/tail, non-fading black coat

Personality: Raised in an ideal setting, Tomahawk has never had the chance to develop serious faults. He's somewhat of a prankster and enjoys breaking out of his stall or, frankly, any enclosure he's placed in. The stallion is very playful and can sometimes get carried away, underestimating his own strength. The appaloosa makes a pleasing mount and loves riding games and any type of socialization. He adores the visits from the neighborhood dogs who've discovered his good-hearted nature, and he can be seen galloping and throwing false kicks at the animals frequently. The stallion is well-suited to his main discipline of gymkhanas since he's excellent with children. The most noticeable thing upon his acquaintance is Tomahawk's obsession and aptitude for smells of all sorts.

Personality: Aspen is an arabian firecracker with a calculating, intelligent head on her shoulders. Her exciting yet often perilous history has forced her into multiple personalities, being feisty one moment and crestfallen the next. She's abnormally calm in most situations where such a hot-blooded horse should react differently. Her staunch defiance balances with her quiet demeanor, but she always chooses fight before flight. Aspen has excellent social skills, having been raised in a middle-eastern camp with various other prized arabians. She's particularly thankful for grooming sessions with the other mares of New Horizon and would stand politely for hours, head to tail with a friend. Though vastly unknown, Aspen is amazingly agile in sticky situations and never takes for granted the care she receives at New Horizon.

Personality: True to the nature of a stereotypical racehorse, Esplode is rather flighty. She was abused by her previous racing owners, and this proves her a dangerous, unpredictable horse. She will absolutely, under no circumstance, allow anyone to approach her with a crop. At the sight of them, she transforms into a dramatic monster full of blind rage and unexplainable terror. She prefers the gentle touch and voice of a woman to any man, having always associated them with her abuser. Though her attitude is steadily improving at New Horizon, Esplode can never be taken for granted in any situation and has been know to literally explode in the simplest of settings. This bay mare has a curiosity to offset her fear and has become very eager-to-please. When frustrated with training, she whinnies towards the mare's pasture and will sometimes half-rear in confusion. Her absurdly competitive nature has made her a valuable "senior" racehorse at age 8, and she makes a pleasant eventer.

Color: Chestnut
Markings: Hourglass-type blaze, 4 tall stockings
Passable Traits: Very tall socks, red foals, absurdly thick manes/tails

Personality: Despite her tumultuous past, Karma has coped quite well, considering the circumstances. To Rajial, her background is widely unknown. She was stripped from her home in the Bedouin camp where she was the favorite horse of the sheik's daughter. Having survived on her own in the desert for several years, Karma is a hardy, enduring and spirited being. She hasn't lost her playful and mischievous nature, and her frequent "gallop urges" amuse the entire staff at New Horizon. She enjoys neighing shrilly at anything that moves and shows no fear when investigating unknown items or strange visitors. Her disturbing past and heartache has made her into a slightly obsessive little mare, and she has attached herself to Rajial in earnest. The two share a rare bond among horse and rider. One purely of love, understanding and acceptance. This makes her very protective of those close to her, and her separation anxiety will have her neck lathered in minutes. Her nerves are also tested to the limit during storms involving lightning, where her blinding fear has forced her into a flight of panic and agony. It is impossible to catch her during a storm, so Rajial must take care in bringing her to her padded stall hours and sometimes days in advance. One of Karma's quirks is her love to chase small animals, but she has never hurt one. She means the world to Rajial who constantly questions the story in those big, green eyes.

Name: Sierra Sun

Personality: This pureblood American mustang proves a challenge to any attempting to train her. It's not that Sierra isn't vastly intelligent, but her defiance shocks the very essence of any who look upon her. Some may call her mean-spirited like her father, but Rajial chooses to deem her "misunderstood." Sierra is very difficult for all but the most advanced riders, and even then, she's no dream ride. Her distrust of those around her cannot be shattered by mere treats. Months of serious work need to be put into the horse for an end result. Sierra seems to bask in the light of sunny days, and the rain makes her even more ornery and depressed than usual. Her ground manners are the exact opposite of her manners in the saddle. She will allow toddlers to crawl all over her and stand perfectly without a sound. As soon as something is asked of her, however, she seems to scream, "why?!" and refuse the task until it is carefully explained to her through body language and patience.
